The Pioneers' Centre

Situated in Coalville, North West Leicestershire, The Pioneers’ Centre occupies a building near to The Castle Rock School, purpose-developed during 2023. 

It comprises: 

  • 3 classrooms 
  • Science Lab / Design Technology classroom 
  • 1 IT Suite 
  • Library 
  • Fitness Room 
  • Dining Room with food servery 
  • Multiple spaces for smaller group work or therapy 
  • Dedicated outdoor space for breaktimes

The Centre is for pupils, aged 11-16, referred by Lionheart Educational Trust schools in Leicestershire and has space to welcome 40 pupils on roll. 

Learners at Pioneers’ undertake a range of Level 2 qualifications, including GCSEs in mathematics, English and science alongside a suite of vocational style level 2 qualifications that engage and interest them.

To complement their learning, a range of therapeutic resources are available to support social and emotional development and enable pupils to understand more about themselves and the world around them.
